Flying trough Seoul star #1

Anyong haseyo

What's going on with the title above?
yep, I am going to tell you a story of me in korea (it's Seoul, spesifically).
It's not a nap time, I can tell you.
But before that, I firstly thank XL that brought me and Marvin there.
So, where are we going?shall we start?

Okay, July 1st, about 10.00 PM (Jakarta GMT+7).
Me, my pal Marvin, and Ms. Yustika (from XL Axiata) just took off direct to Seoul with Korean Airlines. The flight took time about 6 hours long. Just stargazed and looked out the black sky outside the window, there was a song banging my head, a song I created 8 hour before the flight, titled "Seoul star" (You can listen it on my soundcloud page later on). We killed the time with taking a nap or playing games, watching movies and listening music with provided entertainment pack  they had there, the silverline is : we had a convenient flight.

Day one

Arrived at Incheon Airport on July 2nd at 8.30 AM (Seoul GMT+9) , We hit the floor running straight to toilet then WOW.  There were automated-septic-tanks that will do "auto-flush" right after the user leave the room."The toilet is like the most sophisticated toilet ever!" I said that to Marvin. Silly me.

But the main story is not about the toilet, we go on. After that we met our beautiful tour guide. Her name is Marie. Then after the short introduction we directly went to Nami Island. What is Nami Island? You can WikiKorea that one. While heading to the place, Marie told us some good facts about Korea. Here is some :
  • Korean people majorly dont have religion. Some have, just minority.
  • Korea has unique aging calculation.
  • Most Korean people in a big city like Seoul tends to live in Apartement instead buy a house.
  • Unlike Indonesia, there's no cigarette ads beside the road. Because the regularity that smoking is not probihited in public places.
  • Most Korean people love to use Korean product like Hyundai, Kakao talk, and Samsung for example.
I forget the rest, shall we go on?
Finally after 2-hour-long looking beautiful views through the window, We hit Nami Island. We took pictures like crazy, really. And beside the taking-pictures time, there were a lot of romantic spots you could see if you were me. FYI : The island is well known as an island where Korean drama  Winter sonata took place. But I didn't watch Korean drama much, just knew the title. Because of that, no wonder if love blessed the place. Then we had a lunch. Eating traditional food, Delicioso, I was full!. Then we walked around then see some good statues there. I see wooden dolls, A woman breastfeeding her children, and winter sonata memorandum. And there I was Introduced with local belief of Stack of stones which says that if we can make a straight stack of stones, our love-wish will be granted. Dang, I took the challenge just for fun. And mission accomplished! I literally had fun walking around Nami Island.

The trip went on, we headed to Dongdaemun. We bought souvenirs for relatives with cheapest price. Good thing there is they could speak Indonesian and accepted rupiah(Indonesian currency). Oh, there I saw some pictures of Indonesian artist like SMASH, Fauzi Baadilah, and Sandra Dewi visited the store. Great.

Right after that, we visited Gingseng Shop. Oh, I forget to inform you that every foreigner tourists that visit korea must visit places like Gingseng Shop, Amethyst Shop, and Cosmetic ShopLiterally a must, that's a government regularity. In Gingseng Shop, there was a guide presented Korean Gingseng, with Indonesian language. Well, that's cool, knowing that Korean has the best quality compared with American, Chinese, and Japanese Gingseng. Then It came the moment he started to promote Korean GIngseng  to us with special offers. We interested, but I personally did not think that it would come with a low price. So we refused.

Then we visit Amethyst Shop. They presented Korean Jewerly, Amethyst. A beautiful purple stone. Same here, we refused. After that we had a dinner with (I forgot the name) and have a rest in Hamilton Hotel. In the room,  I watched the tv ads. Again, no cigarette ads. (FYI : I am not contra with people who smoke, Just have a feeling that smoking should not be a lifestyle that touches the culture's root). Out of the "no-cigarette-ads" topic,  I dont know Korean language much so I just watched CNN until Marvin finished taking a bath then It came my torn to hit the shower. Yep, that is my first day in Seoul.
